Television star Nakuul Mehta and his wife Jankee Parekh have shared a special piece of news with their fans. They are now parents to a baby girl. The couple welcomed their second child on August 15, making this Independence Day even more memorable for them.
On Sunday, Nakuul Mehta and Jankee Parekh took to Instagram to post a set of beautiful family photos. The first picture melted everyone’s hearts, showing their three-year-old son Sufi holding his newborn sister with pure joy on his face.

Another photo captured Nakuul looking lovingly at his daughter as she rested peacefully in a cradle. The couple also shared a candid selfie taken shortly after the birth.

Along with the photos, Nakuul penned a note. He wrote, “She’s here. Sufi finally has his Rumi. Our hearts are complete. 15th August 2025. Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”

The news didn’t come as a surprise to fans, since the couple had already announced their pregnancy back in June. At that time, they shared family photos in which Nakuul, Jankee, and Sufi posed in their garden.
Nakuul had captioned it playfully: “The boy is ready for additional responsibility. So are we. We are accepting blessings, again.”
Nakuul and Jankee’s love story goes back many years. After dating for almost a decade, they tied the knot on January 28, 2012. In February 2021, they welcomed their first child, Sufi, who often makes appearances on their social media posts.
On the professional front, Nakuul Mehta has been one of television’s most popular faces for over a decade. He began his journey with ‘Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara’ in 2012, where his role as Aditya Kumar made him an instant favorite among viewers. He went on to achieve massive fame with ‘Ishqbaaaz’ (2016–2019), playing the stylish and strong-willed Shivaay Singh Oberoi. The character made him a household name and cemented his place in the television industry.
Apart from daily soaps, he has also explored the digital space with projects like ‘Never Kiss Your Best Friend’ and ‘I Don’t Watch TV’.
